How To Empty the Recycle Bin

  1. Go to the command promt (Start> Run> Type cmd >Hit enter).
  2. Type the following command :
    For Windows 7 and Server 2008 computers -

    • rd /s c:$Recycle.Bin

    For Windows XP,Vista and Server 2003 editions -

    • rd /s c:recycler
  3. You will be asked for confirmation. Enter the appropriate and hit enter.
